shots are not "pretty pictures." They make me
look repeatedly and deeply, redrawing the body lines in
my mind, filling the shadows in my imagination."i
traded a radar detecter for a camera about ten years ago
and from then on ive been interested in art – ive been
interested in the human figure from the beginning."Drap
her contours in deep shadows, dress her in the luxury of
her darkness."(my
wife) has been very patient with me she has been
posing for me since i started taking photos"He
focused in on her bent knee until the world blurred into
silence."everytime
i look at a person im usually thinking of them as a
subject so photography and light and composition are
always on my mind"Perspective

prefer not to title my pictures i think it takes away
from the image and you think more of the title and how
it coincides w/the image i would rather you just look at
the image for what it is and come to your own
conclusions"
I
could never write about how the shadow cupped her breast."i
have my images all around me so that i can study them so

Martin
Raphel Class, Marty to his friends, began his creative
experience in photography and has concentrated on the
human form. During the working day, he's a mild-mannered
car mechanic just trying to make a living but on his own
time, the camera, the studio and the lab consume his
life. He has it all arranged so that they're all close
at hand. His attic is his studio; his basement holds his
laboratory and he squeezes the rest of his life in
between. His wife is often his model and he spend his
free time learning how to design web pages so that he
can exhibit his pictures to a broader audience.
