 I have been working as a photographer since the end of the 1980s,
mainly focussing on artistic portrait and nude
photography. Following one of my exhibitions in 1993, the Weserkurier printed ´Kampa
transforms bodies and heads into works of art`.
Through my portraits I try as far as possible to reveal the
individuality of the subject.
On the occasion of an auction, which took place in the townhall in
Worpswede, the Wümmezeitung wrote ´ Only on seeing the photos
of Jürgen Kampa the audience really woke up again. Three pieces were sold at this auction`.
It is precisely my intention through my photography, and also the
stories that are often depicted within, to stimulate the imagination of the observer.
Since the KÖRPERBILDER exhibition in 1998 in Verden/Aller, I exhibit
predominantly on the internet.
