Born in Vienna, married, 2 children. Studied law, works at the ministry of education, Vienna, likes travelling, especially into scandinavian countries, began with serious photography in 1993, primary landscapes (learning the handicraft out of books and some lessons in an evening school for adults) developped black-and-white herself, but started to work with the computer in 1995 - since that time using every free minute... especially in the night hours... to work at the computer. 

First successes: acceptances  in the "Austrian Super Circuit" competition (first only landscapes.. not computer-montage) later acceptances in other international competitions: Milano, Paisley, Smethwick, Maitland (Australia), Japan and every "Austrian Super Circuit", some pictures were published in the ColorFoto Magazine. Two of them won the readersjury-price, the picture "pinguphone" is published as a postcard . Other prices: 2 F.I.A.P.  gold-medals,  quaducte-biennale- silver-medal and some local Austrian prices. 

She is freelancing photos of scandinavian landscapes (with bicycle, ski or on foot with rucksack) in travelling or adventure magazines while her husband Chris writes the texts. Other sites with photos of Elfi Kaut:
