Jan Wessel. Born in 1953 and working as a computer consultant.
I bought my first camera (Olympus OM1) in 1974. I am a self-educated photographer. Did some workshops (Mike King, Ewoud Broeksma etc.) and I am a member of EXPOS (http://www.expos.nl) and Fotogalerie Lichtzone (http://www.lichtzone.nl/)
Started photographing for real, with models, in 1996. For me the fun in photographing is not only making nice pictures but also the interaction between people.
The best compliment I ever had, was when of my models told me: "Whenever I am sad, I look at the pictures you took off me, and that makes me happy again".
And isn't that what life is about? Spread some happiness in this world?
