 Sven
Tiedemann
was born in Wittstock (Germany) in 1962. He
characterizes his development as a photographer
with these words: "I read, looked at and
tried out a lot, made a lot of mistakes and
tried to avoid them afterwards." Apart from
realizing in his photography only what he
regards as charming and beautiful, he trusts his
feelings and his ideas and he ignores computer
manipulation or even flashlights. Since the
mid-1980s he has been fascinated by combining
sensual nude photography with landscapes or with
dark and run-down scenarios. As a "portraitist
of the undisguised" he is attracted by
working with people, which takes a lot of
empathy, attention and sometimes erotic
provocation, and is always accompanied by new
learning processes. Sven Tiedemann loves nature
and models with a natural attitude / who express
naturalness. He continuously seeks new
experiences, which is why he travels quite often.
Especially in Spain he found the light and the
scenery for his photographic compositions. After
having lived in Berlin for 13 years, where he
completed his educational studies and where he
committed himself as a photography teacher in a
centre for children and teens, he now lives and
works as a freelance photographer in Wiefelstede
(Germany).
