Phantastische
Photographien im doppelten Sinne, sind das Markenzeichen des
Photokünstlers Marco Vernaglione. Zwischen Surealismus und Fantasy
schwebend, kreiert er völlig neue Bildmotive und Sujets, wobei seine
Kreationen auf schon vorhandenen, quasi etablierten Aufnahmen fußen.
Dabei setzt er z.B. den Kosmos als symbolisches Bindeglied und
gleichzeitige Reflexionsebene zur Weiblichkeit ein. Hier wird der Schoß
des weiblichen Idealbildes nicht nur als Geburtsstätte neuen Lebens
betrachtet, sondern auch als das Gefäß eines eigenen, dem Manne nicht
erreichbaren "Liebes" - Universums. Doch ähnliches gilt
ja unglücklicherweise auch für die Sterne am Firmament und wie diese
bleiben die Bilder von Marco Vernaglione gleichsam Abbildungen
unstillbarer Sehnsucht und unerreichbarer Schönheit.

Introduction :
From my early childhood, I was fascinated from the science, technical processes, electronics and everything which had to do with the universe, astronomy and
space.
It has already put out in the draw/painting lessons in the school, that I had a certain vein for the art, especially for science fiction art, fantasy art and later erotic art, today still some of my preferential directions with the selection of picture
books.
The fascination for erotic art associated later, which led to, that I devoured everything which thereby had to do with it,for example picture books of Boris Vallejo ( nice women in fantasy landscapes ), as entrance for the purchase of innumerable SciFi Fantasy picture books, and naturally also I could not escape the fascination, which exercised the pictures of a well-known mens magazine on me . The skillful execution regarding selection of the women, their optics (make-up light) and the posing, pulled me into its
spell.
I will describe later how this influenced my work. I had even begun to create drawings and paintings approx.. 1985, using paper and pencil, with which I predominantly drew "spaceship on space"
pictures.
Later colored pictures were added, which developed either with pastels or with
oilpaint.
Since I really never learned seriously drawing and painting, the pictures were far from realistic representation, and only one of my many leisure
activities.
Like that many pictures are also developed from pictures i traced through, these pictures were modified and then integrated into my work, a peculiarity which I still resume with my series "Experimental / The Power Of Beauty", by manipulating existing
images.
However, I mostly get the certain inspiration for artful creations, if I may process pictures of pretty women, these are also are the dearest motives, which often lead to the best results, since I do the work with more patience and fine
feeling.
