how long ago have you started with erotic photography and
how?
I started with photography about 5 years ago. I was a musician for a number of years before I decided I needed a new medium for my art. I persuaded friends to pose for me and tried to emulate the styles of erotic photographers I viewed in books and magazines. I fell in love with the erotic image and the quest for making beautiful
images.
do you shoot on film or digital? which is your favourite and
why?
I have been shooting mostly digital lately. I still shoot film for magazines and b&w work. I see digital as a different way of shooting. the only limitations I see are the size of the files for print work and the use of wide-angle
lenses.
the web has revolutionized our way of living, and of working. what has been the impact of the web in the professional life of a photographer like
you? how did it change your relationship with the traditional way of working and of relating to traditional
publishers?
the web has been good to me. since I started as a photographer I have been on the web for my fashion/advertising and my erotic work. it offers ways of promoting myself around the globe for hardly any cost. it also has put me in touch with publishers in markets that I never targeted before.
photography is without any doubt not only your job but also your biggest passion. which are your other personal interests and
hobbies?
photography does come first. I enjoy viewing art, photography, film and listening to new music. I also enjoy traveling and studying the history and art of different regions.
you and the web. do you use it a lot and what kind of sites do you have in your browser's
bookmarks?
I use the web every day. I use it for finding work and models, promoting my art, booking locations and shopping for everything.
how long has your official site been online and what will visitors find in it?
my erotic site has been online for approximately 3 years. I used to have a site that incorporated my fashion, advertising and erotic work but decided to keep my art project separate for the sake of not making it commercial. my erotic site (www.andreserotica.com) is a member's site but this is solely for financing my shoots and booking models. it also finances promotion for my erotic work. on my erotic site one can view my guest gallery as well as become a member and view my extensive member's galleries. I also have behind the scenes video from some of my shoots.
