Einer,
dem es wie dem Fotografen Gaëtan Caputo gelingt, derart
treffende und inspirierende Aufnahmen zu kreieren, dem scheinen
die Mysterien des Eros kein Geheimnis mehr zu sein. Seine
verführerischen Modelle offenbaren Intimes ebenso, wie sie zu
verführen versuchen. Sie wirken derart lebendig, als wollten
sie den Betrachter um den Finger wickeln und werden doch durch
das Talent und den Willen des Künstlers im Bild gebändigt. Als
wollte er das Arsenal weiblicher Verführungskunst entschärfen,
offeriert Caputo "ihm" weibliche Geheimnisse und
läßt "ihr"
doch die Gewissheit, das schönere Geschlecht zu sein...

There are some photographers… artists above all. Out of time, out of fashion or trends but also being completely involved into those sides of live. Gaëtan Caputo is like this… not really at his place in the world but also never stranger. Not really in step with fashion but active in its image making. Some will consider him as an angel (probably fallen) and some others as a perverted demon. But isn't it real nature of artists: duality of creators?For sure he should be happy at all time since Lumière brothers era! Without them he could be orphan from one side, for sure. Photography is for him a way to observe the world, the people, to laugh about unnecessary things, to beat as a mad dog people and things that outrage him, to caress the most intimate aspirations and phantasms, to direct those harder. In just a few years his quality of work has incredibly improved and he is now master of technique, light, shapes, shadow, beauty, eroticism, bodylines. It is a bit as when he started everything was based on instinct, but now he has learned. Maybe this is humility and also a proof that it is possible to listen, to observe and then to progress. Now his art has arrived at the beginning of maturity and during the next few years, his graphic signature will become stronger again and refined to sublimate his own work. I bet lots of picture rails will expose his work and shudder sometimes from excitation and some other from terror, but always proudly. It is rare to find photographers respecting at the same time their art, models and themselves. It deserved to hang his portrait on Fashionfact's screen!
