"I express what I feel is beautiful in the form and in the person. Even if the image is abstract, the composition implies the body
language of the particular model. They each have their personal way in their grace. What works for one model, doesn't necessarily work for another. Many of my images are photographed with large format infra-red film and are pre-visualized through drawings and sketches. Sometimes, it takes years to find the right model for a certain drawing. It's not a position. It's an expression. Some of the images are more spontaneous, and I just create my composition of what the model is doing.

I've had viewers, interviewers and art reviewers alike ask me,what is the meaning in this or that image?  What are you saying to the viewer? I don't believe in superficial and esoteric explanations of what I do.  I have simply captured the beauty that I see, and expressed it.  There are no hidden meanings and if someone looks for a Freudian reason to explain my images, they have missed the beauty.  They have missed the whole meaning, which is as simple as Zen. 
The good of contemplation IS contemplation - not some result that it may bring.  If one extends too much effort in why life is, one misses the living of it. In my past, I have spent many years as a musician and a chef. My need to create is no less than my need for air to breathe. I am fortunate enough to have people that collect my work. Because of our shared vision, we become
friends. Sometimes, I will create culinary delights for them as well so we can share another common passion. What it is that I love to do in life attracts the kind of people that I wish to share it with. This is why I do it. Show me a passionless person and I will have empathy for them, but they bore the shit out of me.

I think that today, we are coming into a period where liberal and
healthy attitudes towards the human body, sensuality, sexuality and even eroticism have evolved. True feminism has brought about a change where society demands an appreciation for our desires on a higher level.
