Brad currently lives in Portland, Oregon, and has been photographing the nude since 1991. He has shown in several galleries, and has published in Penthouse Forum, Paramour, Libido, and Cupido in Norway.
To support his photography addiction, he does detailed carpentry and also remodels houses. He used to do photography for a living, but the income was too sporadic.
"I began collecting black and white nude postcards because it was attractive and affordable art. I covered the entire wall in my bedroom with them, viewing them each morning and evening. It was similar to a study board. I purchased a camera and took a night class at the community college to learn how to develop film and prints. I went to a gallery show featuring a local photographer whose work, his whole persona, was just so incredibly inspiring to me. He was not afraid to push the boundaries of sensuality and sexuality. I realized that photography provided an outlet in which I could push these boundaries in my own way. Within a year of taking the class, I had my first gallery show, and was published within two years.
I rarely use professional models, and prefer instead to shoot real people, having fun and enjoying life. I believe that our sensuality and sexuality are the most beautiful of human instincts. I believe that photography captures a split second in time, the reality and vulnerability, which is unattainable in any other media."
